Cornish Pasties

: : Ingredients


  • 1 package ready made pie crust
  • 8 oz ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 potatoe, chopped
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions : :

  • Step 2
  • Step 3
Brown ground beef in skillet.

Add onion and potato.
Cook until potatoes are baked potato consistency.

Cut your pie crusts into circles about 3 1/2 inches in diameter.

Place a rounded tablespoon of pumpkin mixture in the center of the pastry circle.
Fold over and crimp edges before placing on a baking sheet.

Bake pasties for 10-15 minutes in 350 degree oven.

Additional Notes...

I added some carrots to this since there were fresh ones at the farmer's market that day. I used the *extra* filling to make a whole pie in addition to the pasties.


Good and Filling!

"The pasties were good, I gobbled up a few of them, but I liked the meat pie much more. You could really appreciate the flavoring of the meat in the pie (obviously since you get more in a slice of pie). Maybe adding some cheese with the meat in the pastie will give it some kick. I ate a few with the brie cheese dish and thought it was a good combo."
