Naturopathic Travels - Update

So - I actually have not been back to the Naturopath. I could not afford to keep going to see her every few weeks and also buy all the stuff she wanted me to take. I decided that I would take her suggestions under advisement, try her products and take note of what worked for me. When adding her information to the arsenal I already have, I may have finally found the solution for me.

Years ago, I was in a pottery class with a young woman who suggested Healing Psoriasis: The Natural Alternative. I picked up the book back then, but I did not feel it applied to me. I appreciated the young woman's efforts in attempting to help me, but did not feel that it was my answer. One thing that stuck with me was the fact that Dr. Pagano's book was based on the work of Edgar Cayce.

When the naturopath told me to avoid corn and pork, I (naturally) started to research why this might be the case. In cross referencing these details with the suggested diets for rosacea, candida, psoriasis and the O Blood type, I came to the conclusion that pH balance is a HUGE diet issue in America.

I wanted to review Dr. Pagano's book and ended up ordering the newest edition. THANK THE PTB (powers that be) for the fact that I misplaced the original book I had. The new edition has an addition that changed my life. Seriously. I reviewed the book to see if there was information regarding Ph and the acid / alkaline balance. There is a paragraph in which it is stated that a patient drank a teaspoonful of baking soda and noticed that his itching went away almost immediately.

Since itching is one of my issues, I had to try it. The first time I tried it, I think I accidentally had about two TABLESPOONS of baking soda. I do *not* suggest doing two tablespoons. About a half hour later, I was sitting on the toilet with a wastebasket on my lap. Eventually, I lay down on my bed thinking I would never try that particular trick again. I am not sure if the itching stopped or not. I was just glad to fall asleep.

The secret to life is baking soda.

I woke up and my hands were MUCH BETTER!!!! They were a lot less red!! They looked *and* felt less irritated. People at work even pointed out that my face had more white splotches (in the red splotches). I was not expecting these results at all!! I was so excited - it seemed as though I FINALLY had a REAL clue as to what can make me better. The best part was that it was a physical manifestation of the pH adjustment that had been made in my body during the night! It was amazing and relatively immediate. It was easy to pinpoint, and after all these years of detective work, I was really excited!!

I tried having just a teaspoon of baking soda in water for about a week and it really made a big difference. I did not want to do it continuously because I want to balance my system, not knock it into another direction. My next step is working (again) on dietary changes. Now I KNOW that the acid/alkaline balance in my body needs some fixing. I was not able to find a reliable source on the web to guide me, so I went back to my old friend Edgar Cayce.

I was able to find a book on Amazon by William A. McGarey that was based on the works of Edgar Cayce called Healing Foods For Body, Mind, and Soul. I have not taken an opportunity to dive into it yet, but it is on the schedule for this week!! I also just ordered some pHisoderm face wash from amazon and it will arrive Wednesday. I want to test the pH theory from the outside as well. I will let you know what else I figure out. Thanks for reading!!
